About Linda L Barton

I was born in 1950 and grew up in the Chicago suburbs.
I have many transcripts stretching coast to coast which patch together my two BAs, one, in Art History the other in Psychology. I received a Master of Social Work from Berkeley.

I have a son from my first marriage who continues to be my best critic and inspiration.  Soon he is to marry and start a family. My second husband and I have shared 20 years of art, chaos and life.  His seven grandchildren are a lively part of my journey.

I am retired now, but had a private therapy practice where I did play therapy and sand play therapy. Voices of children are still with me.

Some time ago, in Philadelphia, I worked at Nexus Gallery, a non-profit alternative gallery and was a member of the Clay Studio.  Currently, I am part of a studio in Santa Cruz. You can visit our web site at 17thavenuestudios.com.
